HI,I have done the brakes on both a twin spark and V6,you only
need a piston retracting tool to wind the calipers back on the twin
spark (front and rear),rear only on the V6,these are easy to do
on the V6 as the fronts are bembro 4 pot calipers,as for changing
front discs it is easy, just undo the two 19mm. retaining bolts,
remove the caliper,the disc is held on by a lock nut, hit it from
behind with a hammer it will just fall off, as for costs less than £100
should do two new front discs/ pads and rear pads on both models,if you
go to a good motor factor they should be able to supply a piston retracting tool.
I cannot comment on replacing the shocks ,but if you do the brakes
yourself it is clear that you have already saved £100 s'.
