Re: ABS Warning light
I chased a problem around my older Bosch 2e ABS system on a 145.
This is what I found.
ABS light goes on while you're moving without applying the brakes= Sensor fault (mine was a dodgy white plug that connects the sensor to the loom under the back seat, not the sensor which is a pig to remove and expensive).
ABS light goes on when you apply the brakes = Dodgy stop light bulb.
ABS light goes off momentarily and then comes back on when you turn on the ignition = 60A fuses have got dirty (the actual fault code suggested the main ABS actuator wasn't working).
These are just the faults I had. There are about 20 possible faults and I wouldn't have found mine without using the in-built diags where you earthed one of the pins of the ABS diag connector and counted the flashes on the ABS light. I think this feature has been taken off later systems.
