Weel fixed 2 things - the breather hose from front cylinder bank had a very poor seal - the O rings were intact but rock hard, so popped a bit of PTFE tape around for now.
The resonator box was leaking like a sieve around most of the "seam" No wonder it says "dont load" on the top of it. What a very poor piece of enineering when you look at it!
Slapped in some flexible sealer for the moment which has just about sealed leaks.
My guess is that alot of 166 maybe running weak (and down in power) if this is typical of the box.
I remember checking all the breather inlet manifold breather hoses on m Saab LPT and sealing them with blue gasket stuff. The difference was incredible, even though an LPT turbo, I reckoned I gained about 20bhp to what I'd had before.
Has anyone notice the STUPID position of the dipstick bracket! Right in front of the spark p[lug cover alan bolt one side and right in front of cam cover allen bolt on other side DOH!
