Re: Wet Carpet
Water in the car can be very difficult to cure. First I would suggest that you figure out if the water is coming from the top or from the bottom. HereŽs how you do that: remove all panels etc. so that you can lift the carpet and dry it our thoroughly. When dry place numbered pieces of paper (so that youŽll know the location of the paper when you pull them out). After that try and sprinkle the car thoroughly with a water hose from above for at least 30 mins. and pull out the paper-slices to see if they are wet. If yes, the water comes from above, if no the water comes from below. If from below youŽll have to wait untill it rains and then drive for 30 mins.
Examine the pieces of paper to see which one is wet. Normally, if you use newspaper paper, it is possible to determine the route of the water. The piece closest to where the water comes in will be VERY wet and the adjacent pieces will be grudually less wett untill the point where you can see the rim of moist paper. Once you have the origin of the water, you can determine the proper course of action. Let us know how you get on with it.
