Re: Lambda Sensor
I think I may get two new lambda sensors next week - I think they may be getting "lazy" (?)
Symptoms: car can be a bit slow moving off and tailpipe sometimes a wee bit black. Have done all the other usual suspects: air filter, air hose, MAF, plugs, temp sender, thermostat, throttle butterfly. These parts improved things a lot. Problem isn't bad now, but could be better (I think - but maybe I just need a V6 ;-) ).
I'll probably just get Alfa OEM parts.
I watched the lambda readings on the Busy Bee (?) diagnostics in TI Autos a number of months ago and there was variation on two. This is, I think, as expected as these are pre cat. The post cat one should show no change if the cat is healthy.
P.S. 23 around town and 34 on long journeys is just about what I get. Maybe I am wrong to blame the lambdas for bad consumption!
