Hmmm Electric folding 164 mirrors - problem!

I was well naffed off this morning! Due to some inconsiderate 'person' obstructing my driveway, I had real difficulty in getting my 164 Cloverleaf parked.

Anyway, I've gently hit the passenger mirror folding it back the wrong way. It opens but won't retract now, even though you can hear the motor working!!!

Is there anything I can check or an easy way to get to the mechanism, or is it completely knackered now? Gutted, just got the car perfect as well!

All help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks all!

Have you tried retrcting/closing it by hand, and then use the switch to open again.
Have done this in the past on my first 164 (just gets the cogs sychronised again).

Try the above but if it's loose then it may have done what most of them do in time but can be fixed. Have a look at my site and you'll see a step by step photoblogg of when I repaired mine which could be of help to you.
