Re: Alfa Day 14 May - Sewerby Hall, Bridlington
Managed to get to Sewerby Hall (despite the weather) and although it was cold by the sea, it stayed dry throughout. Good turnout of Alfas old and new.
My 166 drew a lot of favourable comments, until a chap with a fully-zendered Super Lusso rucked-up next to me! Still, he didn't have the 17" alloys fitted and in the flesh I think the kit is a bit heavy-handed...
Only 2 other 166s made the show - a silver TS and a dark green 3.0 SL with cream leather.
The highlight of the day for me though was the journey over the A614 - 40+ miles of fast A-roads from the M62 to the coast, with some really fast sections and well-sighted corners. I was able to maintain an average of over 60mph and still return 30+ mpg which is fantastic for such a big car, 3-up with a bootful of kit...
I'm really looking forward to Stanford Hall in June now!
