I have checked every bloody nut and bolt from top to bottom of the engine bay and suspension. inside and out - amazing how many were NOWHERE near the proper torque setting. All the antiroll bar brackets were close to loose!
Thought it might be the air intake pipe from wheel arch as this was loose but alas the knock is still there.
The driveshaft is not as loose as I thought when all the supension together and I really couldn't get any play in from the differential side or the knocking sound.
No my toplink is fine.
Steering rack is solid, all engine mounts solid and damped.
May be one of those irritating things loose in the bulkhead somewhere!
