Was under the car today trying to locate a "clunk".
Noticed that the passenger side driveshaft, from the gearbox differential to the multibolt link had a small degree of play in it (approx 2mm) from side to side. Is this normal, bearing in mind that the two parts of the driveshaft do not have fixed bearing point as on the longer drivers side (with no play)?
This may be where my clunk is coming from. Wishbones top and bottom, were all sound with NO play in them at all.
Does anybody know if this part of the gearbox is servicable?
Did find that the bracket holding potentiometer on to lower wash bone was very loose and all the antiroll bar bolts needed tightening.
