Just got back with my new black beauty!
4 hour drive, everything was absolutely fine until I got towards the end of the A303 (roundabouts and a few bends) and met up with a 155 V6, he caned it I chased. Now have warped front disc!!!
Oh well OMP here we come, followed by belt changes.
I have to say under hard acceleration in 1st 2nd & 3rd, plenty of torque steer and its surprised me how quick it hit the limiter
It also surpised me how poor the clutch is under heavy acceleration, particularily if you change up from 7000 revs into the next gear, the clutch struggles with the power, I had to blip the throttle off to get it to bite properly - perhaps its on the way out!
But its nowhere near as torquey as I expected for a big V6
, seems to need to be 4000+ revs to get anywhere near a sweet spot. I thought below 2500 revs was pretty poor.Perhaps a damn good service will sort it out!
Finally I am surprised at how well it handles, beautifull over the bumps and good at high speed with a lot less roll than I experienced with the TS before I changed it.
I now wonder if Ive gone too far with the TS suspension - it feels rock hard compared to the super, although theres not a lot of roll it coners on rails on a smooth surface, but, bumpy roads and I reckon I could travel faster in the super suspension setup
