Help servicing 2.0L 8V TS

Figure its about time to service the 164, especially as I have just spent a fortune on the suspension and am now driving it very hard.
Does anybody know of a manual for these engines?
Are the tappets hydraulic or manual?
Its a chain driven cam so no worries there, but do the tensioners need replacing at any time.
All the info you can give will be appreciated

Re: servicing 2.0L 8V TS

The valve clearances are 16 & 18 +/-2 (0.001's ins). Use either special tool or remove camshafts to change shims. Good news is you might like to check the clearances, but unlikely they need correcting.
The timing chain tension should be checked. If its bad it will be noisy and wearing the aluminium casing. To tension, a screw holding the chain tensioner is loosened 1 1/2 turns to release the tensioner spring. Setting is recommended every 6k miles but in practice 12-15k is often enough. A rough check on the tension can be made through the oil filler aperture. No special issues with the tensioner itself.
