166 Sucking in Air

Hi All,

I have a strange problem with my 166. On acceleration it appers to be sucking in air from the trottle housing or some where in that general area. This is having a bad effect on acceleration especially at high gears. Has anybody got any tips

Many Thanks,

Re: 166 Sucking in Air

the rubber hose is very prone to splitting...worth a check, although you'll need a whole new intake from alfa at the cost of 40 odd quid if it is split as they won't just sell the pipe

Re: 166 Sucking in Air

like what he said! Look ate the bottom of the hose on the concertina bit (this could also be the cause of your lift off stutter
I think the oil from the breather hose dumps into this piece of pipe and it perishes after time.
Thanks to Niall for my replacement!
