New 166 owner with a few questions!
I recently swapped out my Alfa 155 for a 1999 166 3 litre Super model and I have a few questions. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
1. The warning light panel below the dials shows that the boot is open, but it is definitely shut. I assume that there is some kind of connector at the boot end which send a signal that the boot is closed? If so, where is it?
2. My car is not fitted with the Satellite Navigation option. I use a PDA based version of TomTom, but I'd rather remove all the cables, cradle etc. and use the in-built screen. Is it possible to retro-fit and, if so, what is needed? My car is fitted with the optional CD unit and I noticed that there is a plastic blanking plate above this unit, which I assume housed the CD-ROM drive used for the Nav.
3. I noticed that the car has both front and rear parking sensors. The rears work fine, but the fronts do not function at all. I have read elsewhere that they were not a factory option and would have been an aftermarket fit. If that is the case, I can't understand anyone fitting them and then not connecting them up, so I guess that they are either broken or there is an on/off switch somewhere? Can anyone shed any light on this?
