Hi, I did the original thread on this 3 years ago and never did find out the correct resistance.
Since then I have now bought another 166 - May 2000 - which originated from Holland but is RHD. When I first bought it the airbag light was on and as before checked connections under seats etc but discovered that this car does not have a seat airbag sensor!!
Having checked Alfa eLearn there were different solutions fitted to the 166 depending on the number of airbags that you have.
There may then be different resistances required to overcome the problem. I have since bought Alfadiag which pays for itself the first time you reset the Airbag light and at least you can then reset it each time whilst you experiment.
