I don't get it. It's not overheating, because it stays at the normal temperature. So why is the little red light turning on?
Also, is it possible to fit the larger intake runners onto the 12v V6?
I had this problem on my 12v. I temporarly fixed it by giving the temp warning light sensor a clean but it returned so I got a new one and the problem went away. Don't confuse temp indicator sensor with the warnning light indicator, they'r different. Fiddle with the connection first, it could just be that (located by the thermostat housing).
Re the runners. The 24v non-QV engine had the runnners restricted from 45mm to 39mm to knock off the 20 BHP they later marketted the QV with. The 12v does not have this restriction so the runners are at their max size. If you want a QV spec 12v engine it's probably easier to install one directly as there are some major component differences.
