I was wondering what people thought of the way the 166 handles compared to other Alfas and other cars?
When I first upgraded from my 145 to my 166 I was a bit disapointed with the handling and felt like I might understeer off the road and into a wall at any moment.
However, I have now got used to the way the car feels and realised that you can actually thow them about a lot more than I first thought.
I did the usual run back from my dad's house last night over the A6033 (a lovely twisty road from Hebden Bridge to Oxenhope in West Yorkshire) and even though it was wet the car just eat up the road and spat it out. In fact I was shocked at how well it held the road. That combined with the noise the V6 makes at 6kRPM meant I was grinning so much when I got home my girlfriend thought I was up to something.
The only problem seems to be that the car sometimes struggles to get power down onto the road especially if it's a bit bumpy. I think I will be spending a fair bit on tyres if I don't calm down.
Anyway, I would love to hear your thoughts.
