The chances are if you've put a new slave cylinder that you have not bled it properly. They are a pain in the @rse to bleed properly so check that first as it's the simplest fix and most likely cause. Best way to bleed it is to remove the cylinder and have your assistant hold it above the reservoir during the bleed operation. That should get any trapped air in the system out. Make sure the reservoir doesn't empty.
Try that first and come back to us. Shame I can't get a six speed for the 164!
