Bad performance - Now Solved !
The only thing that niggled me from day one of owning my 166 was the performance.
I've managed to iron out almost all of the little things that needed doing on the car, but now the most complicated.....
This is what is happening: (the car is a 4 speed auto)
If I want a bit of fun in the car, initial pick up in first gear seems a little sluggish, but then picks up fantastically.(guessing it's the long gearing on the auto box??) But when I get to about 5,000rpm she starts to struggle, as if I'm, hitting the limiter. But I am not hitting the limiter. (this is in almost every gear)
If I press the accelerator harder, I then get that extra bit of throttle until it's time for the auto gear change.
What should do guys ?
She's been serviced at every interval and infact had a service a week ago.
She runs perfectly well with no warning lights coming on and only really seems to trip up when I want a bit of a kick out of her.
Any suggestions ?
