OK, silly tips first
1. Have you pressed the left rubber knob in - this is the on/off switch?
(This switch only works if the car is not running, turns the screen on / off ) doesnt do anything when the car has been started
2. is anything displayed on the screen at all. (with the car lights on even???)
Yep - all displays on the screen, can see all the climate control options etc. Sat Nav button says not installed when pressed, as with Telephone button
1. In the boot, do you have a CD changer, a SatNav, or 2 rectangular holes where something has been taken out? Or just a battery cover only?
Have a CD changer in the boot - and yes has power, can eject the changer disk - and get this out.
2. If you have either of the CD or SatNav, do they have power....ie can you eject the disc (SatNav - will also have a light on) or the cartridge (CD changer)
Can you take the ICS out & check if it is powered & all the connectors are fixed in place.
Have tried to get this out - heard there is a fuse on the back of the unit, which is why the stereo might not be working ? But cant get this out...... The fuse in the fuse box for the Stereo ( by steering - top right hand fuse - this was blown, and have changed this fuse - only thing this has done is now gives power to the CD changer in the boot, which it didnt before )
Finally, (or before the tricky stuff)..........do you have a warranty? or buy it from a dealer you can prompt for the answer?
Have a warranty, but the grg is 60 miles away, and they are being awkward. They can only see it on a Sat, and the guy who looks at it, is only there from 8.30 - 10 - and I have to work most Sats !
BTW, 166, stereo off........great soundtrack
