Re: Diary of a low mileage 166
Hi Dougie, pomeo and stu "the flat"
I havent posted anything for some time now but still look into the site every other night so i have kept up to speed with most o the threads.
First of all i still have my 166 and as before have no intention of parting with her,i am working away during week so car only gets used/polished weekends but thats enough ta giv me a buz..
She has now done 4700 dry ,garaged miles and looks better than day last year i got it.
It was a shame to here about chihuaha selling his but hey ho 15 grand and jumping straight into a 159,cant be bad,
It irks a bit to read on this forum of folks expecting folks to part with 166,s for buttons, but thats the market, except it isnt ,as far as i can see, when late, low mile facelifts come up they quick get snapped up for good bmw/merc money.........
Dont think im trying to talk up residuals either as i aint, the force is still strong with my baby and as i said i am in it for the long ride...
thinks my next car to de a 169 in a about 10 years time..
anyone else feel the same ?
Oh and one more thing ,wife has just this week bought new fiat 500.
I have not been able to get home yet to see it but she tells me it puts a big smile on her face which i suppose is the point of my ramble on tonight about my 166. its how it makes you feel that matters and on that score my 166 is in a class on its own.
Fondust regards fellas
