Alfa Romeo 166

166 suspension & camber

Dropped down the rear subframe and did some camber adjustment. Before adjustment there was huge negative camber in the rear axle. The adjustment was placed so that the bracket fixing bolts were tightened in the midle of the adjustment holes. The holes are 18 millimeters wide in the original part. I grinded the holes to the width of 20 millimeters. Took the 2mm from one end of the hole. Now the adjustment is at the end with minimum negative camber. There are now allmost too little negative camber now. Looks like the wheels are even too straight up. Next week I have to take the car to wheel alignment that also tels the amount of camber.

Thought that might soon be negessary to change the springs and shock absorbers. What would be good set of springs and absorbers? Desired lowering would be max 40mm.
