Camber problems

Just bought a 166 3.0 V6. No accidents, showroomcondition.
But,...I was not impressed with the steering (despite all the good comments I had read before) so I took it to the tyre shop and had the geometry checked.
Turns out that the CAMBER is more than 1º out on all wheels !
Also turns out that this cannot be adjusted.
Also found a thread on this forum, describing EXACTLY the same problem, but unfortunately without any solution...
Suggestions are welcome !

Re: Camber problems

166 Wheel alignment is a specialists job and the statement: "Turns out that the CAMBER is more than 1º out on all wheels ! Also turns out that this cannot be adjusted." doesn't give me the right feeling.

Several Dutch 166 club members had a good experience at Angelo's Bandenservice in Gorinchem Angelo's Bandenservice voor autobanden, motorbanden, winterbanden, uitlijnen, balanceren en velgreparatie

They are experts in 166 wheel alignment at a reasonable price.

Re: Camber problems

I think the camber can be adjusted on rears as the lower wishbone is on eccentric bolt, inboard. I think you need to go to someone who knows a 166 for aligment.
Camber can be the wishbone/arm bushes simply wearing/slumping too.
VERY VERY few garages/mechanics do know how to fettle a 166 as they are so rare - even stealers struggle as its nothing like a 156/147.
Main reason this forum is here as we DIY by common knowledge
