Given the lack of history I 'm not sure £1700 is on the money.
As someone has already said, something is worth as much as somebody is prepared to pay, see the last of the 3 City Season programmes with Evan Davis on BBC2, the UK property price bubble, eBay and the Gordon Brown stinging the mobile phone companies for £22 Billion back in 2000 for the 3G licences.
Alfas haven't been big sellers, they don't appeal to the masses so when they're not bought in big numbers when new I fail to see how they're seen as prized or highly sought after when used?
It's been a while since I've read What Car, or a Parkers guide, but aren't the best selling, most popular used cars the ones that were popular and big selling when new?
This is not an Alfa slating point, and I think would be the same for other relatively low volume brands that aren't highly sought after when new.
Will the Mito have a knock on effect to the Alfa brand perception and therefore slightly raise the prices of used Alfas?
