Seems to have stood up quite well, really. Glad you were OK.

Have to say when rallying always found a roll a much gentler crash than a front end.....the energy is dissipated over a number of impacts rather than one sudden stop

As you can see, the windscreen top rail did cave in slightly but then the car came to a rest on its roof, with me dangling comically by the seatbelt. I couldn't get the front doors open due to the deformation of the A pillar so I guess the NCAP rating probably wouldn't be more than a 3 star.

I'd shudder to think what the 164 is like.

This was what she looked like afterwards, though:

Ouch! What a waste.....but happy you didnīt get hurt! A roll can still be much more than many cars will take. So this looks somewhat reassuring to me. Anybody smashed into a moose?

what a tool! The 166 is not a good off road car!

I think that there will have been some sort of electrical error that will have caused the speedo reading. He better get it sorted before his next MOT.

I think its the awful music and the shaven head that give him a particularly intellectual look.

Yes, I wouldn't believe the speedo. Electronic ones tend to go all over the place in a crash. They thought the late Princess of Wales' Mercedes was travelling at some phenomenal speed on impact when the press published photos of the speedo.
