Squeaky noise when turning steering wheel
just had the belts, tentioners idlers etc changed and they also rebuilt the power steeing pump (apparently something wrong with it)
well a month after, when turning the steeing wheel it made a real loud gravely sound (like a grinding noise), it gradually went away the longer you drove. I found that there was almost no power steering fluid in it. Took it back to the garage who advised, that it was low due to "settling" so they topped it up and the noise died away.
2 weeks later the noise has reappeared but it is a squeaky sound and very lound, checked the power steering fluid so topped up....4 days later and its still noisy ...power steering fluid level is fine....
also makes a squeaky/squashy noise when going over a hump in the road (at speed) almot sounds like a suspension squeak, yet when it stationary it makes the same noise when turning the steering wheel even a fraction to the left or right.
