Re: 166 clutch?
Hi again Dougie,
The clutch bite was very low (I was told) because, when depressing it, in effect most of my effort was expended on bending the pedal box. This gradually became worse, presumably because the crack was getting worse. All I can really reiterate is that every morning I had to prise the pedal up virtually off the floor with my foot before I could enjoy some semblance of normality, and pumping the clutch didn't help - thus (I think) giving more credence to the belief that the hydraulics were ok. Reverse was almost impossible to obtain apart from with the engine off. Again, I suggest you try and have a look at the pedal box to see if you can see any play at all.
However, I didn't have any 'slight judder'...
