Hmmm HELP: Central locking, warning light and headlights

DISCLAIMER: I am not a car person or mechanic - I am in fact medically diagnosed as mechanically challenged (and, No, the drugs don't work!)

Yay for 166's! I've had mine for about 9 months now and just had to put it through an MOT! I am pleased to report that, woo hoo, it went through without any problems! I was a little surprised as Murphys Law kicked in a couple of days before with the following, additional, undocumented 166 features:

1) The little car picture on the dash that tells me that the doors are open / closed is nagging me to close the (already closed) passenger side rear door
2) The central locking on the driver side rear door unlocks but doesn't lock

Is there anyone out there who has experienced these features? How were they resolved? What was the cost?

I'm also looking for info. on whether there's anyone out there who does pimped lights ... I'd love to have similar lights to the 159 - they are very cool!

Thanks in advance!

Re: HELP: Central locking, warning light and headlights

the two symtoms are related - almost certainly a fault in the rear door lock....new mechanism is about 40 quid and half an hours labour to fit

Don't think i've seen any "pimped" lights for the 166...somebody has blacked out some of the internal bits to make them look a bit meaner/GTA like....
