166 Memory Seats
Despite spending hours reading through the owners' manual and all the associated annexes, I have no idea how to store positions in the memory seats. Does anyone know how I can do that?

Re: 166 Memory Seats
adjust seat to desired setting, hold down the green M button and then press the button you want to store it as....hey presto! Easy when you know how

Re: 166 Memory Seats
Cheers Niall!
I'll probably have a lot of little questions like that one as I get used to the car.

Re: 166 Memory Seats
Do it for number 1, then a completly different position for 2, and again for 3. Then sit in the car and press the buttons randomly. It's better than a fairground ride, I amuse myself for hours
I said AMUSE myself

Re: 166 Memory Seats
I'm missing the memory function in my seats. Is that option prewired in all models with electric seats (can I just get the control buttons from the local junk yard?)
Anyone know?

Re: 166 Memory Seats
The early cars didn't have the memory seats, nor were they an option. Was there a memory function on both the drivers side and passengers side?

Driver only on mine, and no blanks on the passenger side.

That's a pity. Driver's seats are always worn much more than any other seat and it would be much easier to find an immaculate passenger seat from a LHD car and use it as a driver's seat on a RHD car!

Re: 166 Memory Seats
memory seats are great, if you drive 1000+ kms a day it's great to have 3 settings not only to amuse* yourself, but also to change the driving position and relax a bit even more.
* like the girl in a C4 driving from Birmingham to London on the hard sholulder on purpose:-)

IIRC, if you look closely there is a blank, or at least a visible area where the memory buttons would be...

Re: 166 Memory Seats
You are indeed not imagining it Niall, I put my super strong specs on, and you can just make out the outline for a cut-out.
