Its a complex piece of kit P..

Ill try n find my photos of the speedo head unit.

You are too far away to take it back to the garage....Maybe worth a phone call to the seller for a bit of advice.See if he'll try the garage for you.

worth a go.

BUT does the trip computer still show miles to go on tank.

I have managed to work out that when the ICS says --- it means you have about 15ltrs left.....but that could be just mine and it is tempermental....

Re: fuel gauge not working! help ?

Just after I bought my 166 the fuel gauge did something similar... whilst driving the needle would drop from half to empty in 10 seconds, and the ICS would count "range" down from 200 miles to nearly zero at the rate of 2 miles per second.

It so happened that when I parked up at the end of the trip, the car would not re-start.

RAC man disconnected the battery in an attempt to reset the ECU - since then the fuel gauge has been fine and worked perfect.

The non starting was due to a faulty AFM which Jamie Porter fixed and hey presto, perfect since.

Hope this helps.
