Despite of cold wind outside, i decided to take the doors apart to see orginal sound proofing and how much space there is for speakers.
I noticed that doors in 166 are much thinner than in GTV! and there is not much space for speakers as well! its about 6 - 6.5cm deep from doors to speaker grille and you can not make more becouse there is an window glass. Im fed up now becouse my speakers which i had in GTV wont fit! as they are more then 7cm and its realy hard to find any good speakers up to 6cm deep.
there is my plan of fitting the future speakers.
as I can not fit the speakers to the door cards like this is orginally found becouse it will just make a lot of rattle I need to order an MDF rings which will be about 6.5cm (if anybody knows a company who makes them in the uk gimme a shout)

then i will need to cuts those parts of door cards - i will lose 2 screw points.

Of course sound proffing the doors will be straight foward as you get easy acces to inside part. Another problem is where to feed the wires? as there is not much space in rubber hose. Maybe throught the air vent?
Maybe anybody had this problem before ?
and i have got a big problem for a future instalation. I have browse the net as well and there is no informations about 166 custom car-audio.
