What to have done at the same time?

Morning all.

I've decided that I can't cope with the knackered shocks on my 166 any longer so i'm going to get it booked in for some replacements. I've settled on the bilsteins and if the existing springs aren't saggy, i'll keep them or i'll replace with standard ones.

The question is this. What is it prudent to get done at the same time? I'm going to get them to fix the creaky front suspension but whilst the suspension is in bits, what else is worth doing?

Cheers,

Minch.

Everything - probably including clutch & belts if near due time.

Get a Q2 diff (is it a manual or sporttronic?) just for good measure at the same time as the clutch

Is the Q2 diff the same thing as in the 147 & GT, if so any idea what it costs?

Here you are mate

If you go to the GT/GTA forum and do a search for Q2 there is loads of info.

Can you put Q2 in a sportronic?

Re: What to have done at the same time?

Ahh, a Q2. If i had known that it would bolt straight onto a 6 speed box I would have had it done when the gearbox was replaced (under warranty. ) The clutch was done then. The belts were done a month ago (and blimey, what a mess the tensioner, idlers and water pump were!). It's just the suspension and exhaust to go before it's back to a mechanically perfect condition.
