Avin a larf?

Saw this on Autotrader.

Guy's asking £1500 for a 180K miler - is he just having a larf?

Seems OTT to me especially since it's not a Cloverleaf or QV. Or am I being unfair?

Re: Avin a larf?

Well its had belts and tensioners and cylinder heads done.. Might be over market value but does represent what its worth to him. I'm doing the same thing with my JTD which is for sale at the moment, around £1000 more than market value, but its had recent cambelt, clutch, tyres, 12 months tax, and remap/CDA so there's no way I'm selling it for 'market value', I'd rather just keep it

Re: Avin a larf?

The belts & head work kinda says to me that he had a belt failure - the belts alone are standard work really, if they weren't done you'd want to knock 300 or so off anyway.

There's no mention of any suspension work, which might be necessary at that sort of mileage.

I rather suspect it'll be one of those 164's that's priced at the top limit & hangs around for months.
