166 How do you do yours? V6 plugs

One another thead about spark plug change (rear bank) el barto posted pictures of how he does his.I think he leaves the chrome pipes in position by parting them from the rear top cover (Air intake).

When I do mine I always remove the pipes from the cylinder head end as I just hate those Alfa clips.2 of the allan key botls are tricky but the rest are easy

Does anyone else change the plugs themselves and out of interest Pomeo or Elbarto way.

Elbarto...with all your expertise your way is probably the best BUT I JUST HATE THOSE CLIPS.

P me

plenum detached from rubber pipes. clips are easy if you have the knack. bit of silicone lub on rubber and the old pipes just slip in....

The closing tool is freely available and pretty cheap, think i paid around £ 15.00. Fitting and removing the clips is quite easy, better than dropping crap down the inlet ports.

It was nothing special to put it apart, except lack of space.

To put it back together I used some oil on rubber foe and nail pliers on all this clips.
See pic on how to do clips.

PS
Lube is the answer (oil or glicerol or ... )

I also use the El Barto method. Here's a link: http://www.lasertools.co.uk/item.aspx?item=756&cat=67

But any 'carpenters pincers' will work.

Re: 166 How do you do yours? V6 plugs

I changed my clips to "standard" hose-clamps, or what they are called. Plenum off, and pipes left on the engine. Pretty easy.
