Scrapped 164

Hi guys, this may not be the right section but here goes anyway

I phoned a breaker for a 3ltre engine and he said he had one from a mint blue 164 74k miles with engine mods in the liverpool area, full stainless, k & n filter etc etc etc

is it any of you guys here that has recently been in an accident to the near side front..
if so could you give me more details on the engine

Enzo, sounds like my old one;

Old 164 thread (If anyone's after 164 bits...)

Engine was a good 'un- 45mm intake runners, squadra chip, used no oil, belts/tensioners done @68,000 in 2004.

Had it on a rolling road, 231bhp @ flywheel, 184 @ wheels

so other then the intake runners the engine was standard?
how much do these engines genreally go for?

I have tried to give away my 12v 3 litre and no one wants them. Such a lovely engine, less to go wrong than the 24v and can be chipped up a lot. I would be offering the scrap value for the magnesium, aluminium alloy, and the iron work. The metal is worth more than the engine! I'm not joking either, and I don't like the cruel truth that's for sure!
