Re: Fitting new radiator - Help!

Looks like rust and corrosion all over my rad too and replacement sooner rather than later and I found previous owners radweld in boot too. Have been advised that bumper does not need to come off but Alfa specialists labour rates make either option costly....anyone prepared to offer a step by step to the "through the wire" option for novice, from draining to refilling.....thanks

Re: Fitting new radiator - Help!

easiest thing to do is get a repair disc off ebay for a fiver inc P&P.

There are quite alot of steps you would not think about doing, eg the 'nostrils' have to come out to access some bits and its a fiddle trying to keep the aircon rad supported when trying to with draw the water rad so the disc is proabably the best option, and then you have it for the next thing to go wrong

Re: Fitting new radiator - Help!

I am no expert mechanic but with the help of this thread and and ebay CD I did the job without any problems.
I also managed to get to all the bolts without going through the grill or taking off the bumper. I got to them from above using stuby drivers and with my small hands I just had enough room.
