Re: code for ics on alfa 166
Sipe, Chris
Would you mind telling me what model number and what part of the serial number you used? I tried this today as I had to disconnect my battery to reset the ECU (which worked a treat!) but the code I had from Alfa only seems to be for the Nav. However, when I pulled the ICS out, the only serial number I could see was AR10xxxxxxxx/C1, so I put the 8 x's numbers in (as both the above sites will only let you put 8 numbers in) and I did get a code from them, but it didn't work! I was using BE2660 as the model number, as per a previous post. I have the old 98 spec ICS, so I may have made a mistake there - are the 2 types both the same model number? Did your units have another serial number anywhere? On mine, when I pulled the unit out, the sticker was on the right hand side of the ICS if you're looking at it from the front. To be fair, I got an almost instant refund from car-audio-accessories.co.uk, but the chap said they could not supply the codes for these units. Which sort of contradicts the experience of people here, so I'm just wondering if I got the wrong model number or serial number there. Any help would be most appreciated, because as wonderful as the V6 sounds, I do need my radio and trip/nav!
Cheers
