Well Happy 1st Weekend on Super Unleaded

I have just returned from a trip to the other end of the M4 and I thought I'd treat the car to a damned expensive valet and a tank of Super Unleaded (have only ever used premium 95) before I left and I have to say, she was running like a dream - many B**'s were left for dust! I also saw a stunning red/black 164 which was in showroom condition on the Marlow bypass yesterday afternoon. Anyone off here?

I won't be switching back to premium now, definately recommend spending the extra few quid on the good stuff. Used Texaco's 'High Octane' incidentally.

Cheers for the tip - I'll keep an eye out for it. I had heard good things about the Shell V-Power but wasn't sure if it was just Ferrari-linked hype. Anyone tried it? Results?

I wouldn't use anything other than V-Power tbh.

Re: 1st Weekend on Super Unleaded

When I was using posh stuff, I monitored the mpg for a few weeks & the %age increase in mpg was a little less than the %age increase in cost, so I've gone back to supermarket petrol.

Haven't had any problems, but my driving's mostly urban so the car's performance is limited by road conditions not power output.

Would probabaly put some posh stuff in for a long run, or for a couple of weeks before an MOT if I thought of it.
