Help Installation of Flasher Unit?

Can anyone provide installation guide and location for the indicator/flasher unit? Is there a diagram with it's part number, location and replacement procedure to follow?

It is the part needed before I can put this car back on the road and to take it for roadworthy(MOT) check

It is for a 2001 166 3.0 model

Re: Installation of Flasher Unit?

Matt166,

If it's the indicator relay you're after, I believe that it's located under the centre console. Unit should just unplug. According to my ePER CD it's part no. 60617164

Hope this helps

Re: Installation of Flasher Unit?

Hi Pete,

Thank you for part number. As a newbie, is the ePER CD a "must-have" investment? It appears to be from the other posts - where can I order one?

A related Q - what is the "Alfadiag" that is referred to in other posts?

BTW - I am in South Africa and our specs are probably similar to the UK/Aussie RH drive cars - if there are any differences.

Matt

Re: Installation of Flasher Unit?

Hi Matt,

I got my ePER CD bundled with a service CD for my 156, bought off ebay for £11 - I'm sure if you google "ePER" you'll find it.

IMO it's a must-have - unless you want to take your car to a garage everytime there's something wrong with it.

I believe Alfadiag is a diagnosis/ECU interrogation program that you can put on your laptop/PC and using a suitable connector cable, plug into the car. I know that the guys on alfa156.net are quite into it.

Should be a diagram of the relay location here :http://homepage.ntlworld.com/peter.hall880/166relay.jpg
