166 xenon headlights

Hi there,
CAn anyone please help me? I have just bought a xenon headlight as one of mine was smashed so i just got a garage to pop a normal lamp in until i could afford to replace it with the correct xenon again! Is it possible to fit the headlamp without having to remove the front end of the car?? Does anyone have a way that they would recomend doing this? I am just trying to save on costs coz as you all know these lamps are dam expensive. If any of you out there can save me a bit of time doing this then i will be forever grateful, but after looking where the lamp attaches to the car i do think its front end off!! Looking forward to hear from you experts out there!! Thanks, Col.

i think you can undo one side of the bumper and get enough space that way....

Re: 166 xenon headlights

Thanks mate, i have just been reading through some old post's and there is quite a few people with similar prob's. I'll give your idea a go then if not i'll just have to take front end off all together! Time to get the winter warmers out!!!

Re: 166 xenon headlights

see my old thread.
Just loosen/remove bolts from front half of lower wing and the bumper to the middle of the side your working on. They are only plastic and flex quite abit. Some softwood wedges are useful unless the wife is to hand...
