Here's a picture from my CD. You don't need to do the angled lines on the wall but it gives a better result if you do.
Basically find a level road with a nice wall perpindicular to it. (This is the hardest bit of the job, I find).
Park the car very close to the wall and at 90° to it. With headlamps on mark the position where the beam hits the wall - i.e. the centre of the beam and the horizontal and angled lines. Run the car straight back about 10m without touching the steering.
At the 10m distance, the horizontal lines from the headlamp beam should be 110mm below the horizontal lines marked when you parked near the wall.
PS I've just fitted some Philips Vision Plus +50% bulbs from Powerbulbs .co.ukto the dipped beams and they're great. Beam cut off is not so sharp and the spread seems a bit wider better than Osram (IMO).
