Taking out ICS unit on 166

Hi, I have lost the code to my ICS unit in my Alfo Romeo 166, year 2000. I am looking to remove the ICS unit completely to find out the serial number from the back of it in order to retrieve code from dealer. Can you advise on how to do this? I dont want to cause any cosmetic damage to the dash but cant see any obvious way of removing the ICS System. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Hi plet122.

Try doing a search on ics in here, as this has been covered in great depth recently.

I am sure that you will find the answer

Re: Taking out ICS unit on 166

I had the same problem. There is a thread on here somewhere describing all the things I did to try to get the code.
In the end I went to the following website:
http://www.radio-code.co.uk/
I sent them £10 and the Becker code (as I was worried it was a scam and did not want to give them my credit card details on-line).
The next day they e-mailed me the 4 digit code which worked fine.
I hope you have the same solution.

Thats for the advice. Managed to get in contact with the previous owner who since found the cards and got the code off him.
