it seems that around october 2000, alfa changed from a bosch 280 218 019 to a 281 002 309. When you look at power alfa for example the newer one is cheaper. But they are both easily available on ebay with the older one more common.
Does it matter?
Yes it matters, the "019" is for pre-EOBD, "309" is for EOBD.
You need the correct MAF sensor for your engine, you can't just pick the cheapest and expect it to work properly.
