Re: Cloverleaf intake runners

Hi

EB Spares are a good start, there CCS sports box for the 'Leaf is very good and not too expensive. I have removed the centre box wiith a straight piece of pipe, sounds like a mini ferrari but not to boomy!

Worth looking a Squadra the company that do tuning chips. They do the intake runners with a chip in a package! Very cool.

Hope this helps.

Re: Cloverleaf intake runners

Squadra tuning are very helpful - I have the intake runners and ECU on my 156 V6. Better torque low down and higher bhp

Re: Cloverleaf intake runners

squadra will surely help you out. You might as well consider buying their chip and going all the way from 210hp to 240hp!! the big runners really help the Super all along the rev range. I installed them a few month ago and I'm really satisfied. At low revs (1k-3k) the added torque is really noticeable and very welcomed considering the heavy 24v is not on its prime at low revs. And on high revs you'll find the red needle on the right reaching 7200 rpm faster than ever before!!!! .
Back when I changed them a mate from this forum PM me the part numbers you'll need:
3 x 60668794 - RUNNER
3 x 60668795 - RUNNER
6 x 60513868 - JOINT
6 x 60590507 - COLLAR

Apart from these, I recommend you also change the gaskets too (sorry, I don't know the part number. Got them from my alfa dealer. They are the same that on the 164/166/GTV 3.0 24v.).
Good luck.
Chris.

GTV 2.0 79-87
GIULIETTA 1.8 82-85
75 2.0 87-93
33 Q4 93-00
164 SUPER 3.0 V6 24V 06-...

That is the correct code for the gaskets. I think you're translating directly from the Spanish ePer (JUNTA = JOINT) but it is the correct term for the gasket.

Definately need to change those as they are cheap and will ensure a good seal. The runners are indeed a big imrpovement on their own and everyone raves about the squadra chip (my next purchase) but keep in mind that if you use the chip, you will need to use 98 ron fuel for the chip to be of any benefit.

Re: Cloverleaf intake runners

Hi all

I have so far put an air induction kit with an air scoop on the bonnet for lots of cold fresh air and a sports exhaust. The Squadra is next on the shopping list.

Has anyone fitted a Power Boost valve to raise the fuel pressure. I was thinking of adding one with the chip?

Have decided this weekend to use the spare 24v heads i have. Going to gas flow them and add a set of race cams. Should be a laugh.

Anyother good little ideas will be welcomed

WOW!!! My dream car
Where will you get the cams from?

If you're changing all then maybe you might consider a beninca full conversion:

I Don't know if they get 400hp with or without turbos on that V6...

If not going downunder, and forgeting about costs too , then a lightweightened flywheel, crankshaft and forged pistons might be a good choice. I think Autodelta claims about 30hp more for all these mods to a 3 litre V6.
Should really think about new brakes and suspension after all those mods too
Good luck mate

Not fitted one, but you can get them here if you don't already have a source.

Re: Cloverleaf intake runners

Dunno how much the intake runners are selling for over here, but I got mine from Alfissimo in the US. What with the £ being strong against the $, might be worth a look, although shipping's quite expensive.

Could also try http://gtvince.com/index.html - always breaking s/h 164s.

I am hopefully going to get the cams from AH Motorsports they are around £360 for exchange cams. I will be doing all the work myself as money is definately an issue!!!

I have already lowered and uprated the suspension but kept the electric shocks, i think they are a good system once lowered. It also runs 18's on good rubber with Poly bushes allround.

Brake are really good now but may get a custom set made by me once the power is increased, wait and see if they need it.

Also going to measure and make a strut brace for the front, will let you know how that goes if anyone is interested.

Won't happen quickly but will keep you posted.

"Racing is life, everything before and after is just waiting" Steve McQueen knew the truth!

Not another set of tyres!!!

Good idea, used him for a Cloverleaf front spoiler earlier this year. Can't believe he's breaking four Cloverleafs – no wonder they're so hard to find!

Re: Cloverleaf intake runners

I am guilty for decreasing the numbers of 'Leaf.

I have cut up a red 'Leaf 24v which was my brothers first one. Hence the spare engine etc. i have to play with.

Have just found a post on an american forum stating how to make a quick shift out of the standard linkage. Got to have a go at that as well.
