The old girl is giving me the run around at present, little minx that she is.
3 months back the starter packs up and if you have ever seen where they on on these you will know what a headache that is. Didn't have time to do it myself so, booked her into to Clovertech for a new one.
Got her back and ..........
Approximately 2 months ago the clutch decided to meet its maker with a bit of help from my right foot resulting in the usual Alfa tow home!
So off to Rusper Alfa for a nice shiney new clutch for her, whilst there i had my new steering wheel put on. However whilst in the air the guys noticed the two rear adjustable arms were well knackered. In for a penny, in for a pound, ohh go on then replace them as well and retrack her.
Get the car back again and it is transformed the whole drive, the old clutch must have been so out of balance it was unreal and the handling is 100% better.
HOWEVER whilst driving her home the brake fluid level indicator came on . . .mmhh strange, have a check, fluid is fine, short the sensor, no light. New cap it is then.
Next day the exhaust hanger decided to go meet the clutch in heaven!
Never mind, i am replacing parts as i go to keep her tip top.
Driving home yesterday and the top hose on the coolant (which looked quite recently replaced) decides my bonnet should have a water feature and once again hazards on and on the phone. Lucky my brother Moyneseyt5 has a 'Leaf so i nicked his pipe to get her home!!!
All new parts are on order and due in tomorrow ready to fit Friday whilst i re set my rear brakes.
Don't you just love your Alfa, no matter what she does i love her to bits. Its all worth it for that 1 week every year when she runs perfect
