Blue tube??

I noticed something broken at the back of my 2.0TS engine yesterday. Theres a blue tube that appears at the back left near the engine wall and connects to the top of the engine. My connector has snapped. Anyone know what exactly this is, sorry no photos.

Went to garage today. it's the vapour return from the petrol tank and has a tendency to go if its too rigid. Though the part is cheap it goes someway into the car so labour might be a bit more substantial
