Cry Like A Baby Time to say goodbye

Unfortunately the time has come where it is no longer financially viable for me to continue to fix my 166 3.0.

The water pump has gone on the car and although I have a brand new one to fit there are a few other things that also need fixing so I’m going to bite the bullet and say no more.

The car has just run out of MOT so I can't easily sell it and it needs about £150.00 spending to pass….!

If anyone knows someone who wants a 3.0 166 with high mileage ( and a few teething problems ) I am willing to let the car go for £1500.00, if i don't get a buyer within a week i am going to break the car so all parts will be available.

The car is an 1999 S reg 166 Sportronic 3.0 V6 with 120k miles on the clock finished in pearlescent green / silver type color...!

The body work is not great as the two bumpers have "grazes" and a dent in the boot. The interior is black leather and is in good condition for the mileage.

If any one is interested please contact me at rod@roonies.co.uk for more details.

Thanks for all the help for everyone on past posts and I hope you all continue to have a great time with your Alfa's.

Cheers.....Rod

Re: Time to say goodbye

oh dear, that's sad.

however, don't say goodbye just yet, you'll no doubt get another car, why not another alfa?

some nice 155's going for small money, 145, 146, maybe even a 156, don't lose hope

good luck with the sale and good luck whatever you decide, others on the site with no alfa. you don't have to own one to love them, ok?

Re: Time to say goodbye

I can never understand this way of thinking, I mean you have a car which no doubt you paid low money for (being an Alfa 166 I mean less than other cars of same type) and you are no doubt going to take a big hit to sell it off at that price....wouldnt you lose far less to get it fixed and keep enjoying it?

Good luck anyway man. Will be a cheap car for someone even if they take it to a main dealer and get it fixed up properly.
