Drop-outs and buffering issue when listening to CDs

Minor issues with my ICS.
I have minor drop-outs and buffering issues when I use the CD changer.
Initially I thought it was one of the slots in the CD changer, but it can be all of the CDs in it actually.
It plays out like this:

- you chose a CD, say no. 2
- it starts playing, and buuf after 1-2 secs it start again and buffering is A okay and it plays perfectly.

I actually recall hearing this in my friends Porsche Carrera 4, also Siemens,so maybe this is a flaw by design.

Other issue is:

- you are listening to music and due to a hair on the road the
cd changer goes uuh wait till we pass that hair and makes a pause .

I am on 17" but I reckon it is doing that to much. Anybody tried to shield or "gyro" the CD changer in any way ?

Cheers.
Morten

Does this still happen with original CDs (i.e., the vast majority without the copy protected logo)? If so, then the lens may be dirty on your player. Not sure if there is much you can actually do though.

Also check the direction arrows on the changers suspension - the changer is rock solid normally on real CDs if set up properly (good job with an Alfa suspension)

Make sure the transportaion screws have been removed from the changer. Wouldn't be the first time!
