Re: 166 retro costs
Is it really worth all the hassle of changing the ICS and maybe cabling? My advice would be to get one with CD and fit a Tom-Tom or something if you really must have Sat Nav. The inbuilt GSM phone is great, but takes a large SIM and will need a separate number (or lots of typing codes if your service provider even allows two SIMs on one number). I have my phone setup to forward to the car. That number then forwards back to my voicemail (if not answered) - costs a bit in forwarding though. Just get a hands free kit!
If you don't have the CD, no chance of connecting an mp3 player. If you do, maybe you can hack the cabling and disable the CD whilst splicing in the mp3 audio. Never tried, but there are threads on this board about it.
Getting any of these bits on ebay seems to be pot luck. Maybve contact a breakers?
Just make sure you get a mechanically sound car!
