Alternator whine - surpressor gone?

I've got terrible alternator whine in the sound system.

So annoying.....especially as you get it through 10 speakers!!!

Anyway - is it fixable - like replacing the surpressor (where's that)?

Could it be the after-market phone kit that the previous owner installed that is causing it?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Dan

Could also be dirty brushes in the alternator regulator, or a bad signal line in your stereo wiring.

If its the alternator, i dont know where it is on the TS but to get to it on the v6 the drivers side wheel comes off, then all the protective covers off the wheel arch then you need baby hands to get to the thing...Good luck
