156 strut assemblies into 164?

Hi guys, thought i'd ask as there aren't many 156's about my area that I can crawl under for a look... Just wondering, seeing as 156's and 164's are basicly designed on the same platform, are struts interchangeable?
I've been informed of a lead on a nice set of strut assemblies for a 156, but I want to know whether it's of use to me and my 164...

Cheers all.

I`ve only looked on ePer but even on there the differences are pretty obvious. No they wont fit.

Is this true I had never heard it said before?

I thought the 164 was a project-4 (or something like that.....Saab, Fiat, Alfa & Lancia or was Volvo in there somewhere at one point), and the 156 was a Fiat Tipo derivative

Quick rethink: Maybe they AREN'T the same platform... As i've said before, i've never seen inder a 156. I'm just going off what i've been told (which was probably wrong...)

Re: 156 strut assemblies into 164?

..164 was the last of the "type 4" cars, the others being the fiat croma, lancia thema and saab 9000. 155 (and gtv) was based on fiat tipo platform. 156 is a different animal again.. and i think it uses double wishbones upfront

Just to confirm - NO!

The front suspension system on the 156 is way different from the 164!
